Q: What is the height of the tennis net and tennis net posts? A: Net height at the center should be 36”. Height at the net post should be 42”.
Q: How long can I expect it to take to construct a tennis court? A: Typically, you should plan on about two (2) months from start to finish.
Q: What is the difference between the terms resurfacing and recoating? A: These two terms are used interchangeably in the industry to mean a minimum of two coats of latex-acrylic paint applied to your existing tennis court or basketball court. The terms do not involve re-paving your court.
Q: How often should I resurface my tennis court or basketball court? A: Depending on usage, a private court – every 7 to 10 years. Public courts – every 3 to 5 years.
Q: Can I flood my tennis court or basketball court and use it as a skating rink? A: We do not recommend flooding courts. Without snow cover, frost can be driven deep into the base, leading to cracking and heaving of the asphalt.
Q: Should I plug my net post sleeve holes when I remove the post for the winter? A: This is done only if you are concerned with debris plugging the hole. The sleeves are totally encased in concrete so water will do no damage when it freezes in the hole.
Q: Can I convert my hard court into a soft Har-Tru court? A: Yes: However we would recommend converting to a Premier Court®. They are easier to maintain and do not require daily maintenance.
